>>Looking through your list of Unix clients and having run most of them I
am not seeing these "port 70 only" clients your refering to, they
wouldnt have worked if they didnt do the search engine ports and would not
have been used.<<

Those of us at JumpJet unfortunately do not have the ability to test software
from many of the platforms to which Gopher Clients or Servers have been
written. We at JumpJet are primarily "old-school". Our personal interests are
in Pure DOS (WITHOUT Windows 3x) and Warp OS/2 (and one semi-functional Vic-20
just for fun). Windows 2000 is what we use in the office as our everyday
workhorse operating system.

Unfortunately, as far as Unix and Macintosh goes, we have neither the
inclination towards the software nor the necessary platforms on which to test.
Therefore, JumpJet needs user feedback about Gopher Clients and Servers for any
and all OSes (especially the"odd-ball" OSes like NeXT, Acorn, and VMS).

If anyone would be willing to write a review of ANY Gopher software, we want
to post it along with the program download (see
gopher://home.jumpjet.info/00\Begin_Here\Clients\MacOS%207x\TurboGopher\Review.txt
for a basic example). Send email to: jumpjetinfo@xxxxxxxxx .
