I don't know about John, but the whole of floodgap.com is sitting on a
homemade rack about 10 feet from where I'm typing this on my G4. I presently
rent five static IPs from my DSL provider, three of which are in use, and
the other two are allocated to future projects. The connectivity (6M down,
608K up ADSL) costs me about $63/mo.

That was a long playing problem with Floodgap initially; I'm happy with how
well Veronica is chugging along, but I want to add a little more to it.
Groundhog has become very well received, however, and there are two more
daily content projects in the works (though one is a considerably longer
shot than the other). Both of these would be automatically maintained, so
this would relieve me of a lot of work.

I've also thought about putting together a "glog" of sorts.
