WOW!
Reading of people willing to extend/repair modern browsers' Gopher support
is comforting (this isn't such a bad world, after all).

w3m does not handle gopher:
$ w3m gopher://gopher.floodgap.com
w3m: Can't load gopher://gopher.floodgap.com.
I don't have "links" installed at the moment, will try that later.
However, I expect it not to support gopher, I read the following in
