I agree with David.  Win 95/98 clients have no notion of a system name,
and given our international community it's possible two players will have
the same username.  What if someone starts an anonymous Freeciv service
for guests?  Someone was using Freeciv to teach a programming course in
school, I recall - what if that class shared usernames?

Besides, I don't want to be "King ard".  It sounds like a fish.
