Ah. I also remember that same problem initially, indeed.

My mistake was, IIRC, to not include the full public key (both locally 
and on gna.org) - starting with "ssh-rsa " and ending with "= 
[username]@[host]" (i.e. "mkd@homecomputer" etc) - but only the middle 
part.
