Tried email reply but it didn't show up.

Specialist gold/sci isn't affected by corruption, so you can get to
republic earlier. 4 sci a city if built on grassland. Making corruption
and the 60% tax limit meaningless.

You can still get gold/sci during anarchy aswell, making it pointless.

Small poxers can use it to halt the growth of their cities aswell (not
that anyone smallpoxes anymore because of the trade route orgys that
dominate pubserver).
