Something about this changed in the interim.  It has nothing to do w/  
case-sensitive HFS+, as I have the same problem on my system, and it  
is not case-sensitive HFS+.  Bug #14633 seems to mention something  
about this...

I have not seen this behavior before.  Can you post a saved game file?
