It's a royal pain for people like myself who have multiple monitors on
our desktops to have some windows trapped in tabs, and others displayed
as pop-ups. For example, I like to see my city, science page, and econ.
pages all while looking at the map. I would hope that I could
right-click on a tab name so I could select undock. I would also like
if I could save the screen positions of each window so they would come
back to the same place they were before. Since there is no undock
function currently, I would really like it if I could disable the close
window button for undocked windows. OTOH, I still want to see the X in
the top right like we're used to seeing.

Better yet, if F1 gives you the city tab, Alt-F1 could be configured to
give you the city window undocked. The same could go for the rest of
the Fn keys.

If I didn't have to go into options to turn off tabs just long enough to
re-open a window I accidentally closed, then go back in to turn the tabs
back on, I would be a much happier camper.
