Got an Athlon64 and installed with NPTL and GCC 3.4.3 (but C-flags still
only -O2 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer -march=athlon64) in the meantime,
installed fresh beta7 now. It still only survives one round, this time I
played a bit different then when I reported the bug (added a few
freights, put tax at 100% and sold some libraries). I start the server
with civserver and the client with civclient. But it doesn't freeze
anymore and says:
Game saved as europe+1505.sav.gz
>
1: Workers at 24,68 (Plains) has activity Irrigation, which it can't
continue!
Segmentation fault

Bear in mind I'm still using the old savegame (downloaded it of here
actually)

Using gdb 6.0-r1 (Gentoo) after restarting the client the game strangely
enough goes on till 1530, then terminates with this:
Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
0x0000000000458415 in ?? ()

The client doesn't actually freeze, I can still open for example cities,
but since the server crashes (used to freeze in earlier betas) it of
course doesn't go to the next round. Ctrl+z stopped gdb so I can't give
you the output of bt full.. I forgot the core when I started gdb, I'll
try it with that later today or tomorrow but I gotta do some work first
;)
