I ran a testing game with the following differences from default:

(A separate server in tty1)
aifill 30
observe [Human player]
set size 29
set topology 15
set barbarians 4

At some point after 2000 BC (but before the next autosave) the server
crashed. It told me that the number of players was too big (I think
because of a barbarian player).

Please find the civgame-2000.sav.gz attached.
