Hello,
most windows binary versions of freeciv (at least up to and including
the version published on 7 july) do not display correctly
the localized messages involving use of the 'advanced' printf
functionality like %3$s.
typically in the french locale, the following message:
#: server/diplomats.c:690
#, c-format
msgid "Game: %s's %s stole %s from %s."
msgstr "Jeu : Le %2$s de %1$s a volé %3$s à %4$s."
gets displayed as:
Jeu : Le $s de $s a volé $s à $s.
instead of something like
Jeu : Le FOO de BAR a volé BAZ à WHATEVER.
(where FOO, etc. are the real strings to be displayed).
Thanks in advance for considering this bug.
Laurent
