I have an idea that could help with maintaining and the improving the
Freeciv documentation.

The user documentation for Freeciv always has tended to lag. Some
concepts are dated, not yet included in the manual or not fully
explained. If you're new to civ games in general this makes things
even harder at the start.
Here's an idea on how to improve and keep the Freeciv manual up to
date: "Create a Freeciv manual WIKI page"

WIKI is the a sort of a community webpage project. Users can directly
edit a webpage to post corrections or additions. The old versions are
saved so if a user screws up a page you can always go back to
replace it with an older version. The best example of WIKI is the online
wiki encyclopedia (http://www.wikipedia.org/).

More general info about wiki can be found at http://www.wiki.org/

Something like this would be perfect for Freeciv. This way it becomes
far easier for people to help with maintaining the Freeciv
documentation.

Cheers,

Thomas (CapTVK)
