This occured to me too. I did not learn about the server option until
later. Questions like these suggest chances to improve usability, by
providing a little extra information in the right place.
Can the endyear be extended even after the game has finished? (i suppose
i could test this by setting the endyear to something really short. I
would like to assume it can be changed at any time, perhaps even changed
to be less than the current year to end the game immediately?).
It would be really good if there was some sort of (very very) easy way to
continue the game past the endyear, (especially if there is only one user
playing against the AI). If i recall in Civ1 you have the option to
continue past the endyear "for fun" (not counting towards the score).
Alternatively a message telling the user how to extend the endyear and
play on would be great.
