Oh man, I love you coders. Can you tell me at least how do I know
whether a savegame is valid or invalid in this respect?

The attached game is the predecessor. Login, start and press <RETURN>.
But I don't know whether this is sufficient for you.

On the other hand, I can send you any amount of preceding savegames you
like. Tarred and bzipped ...
