Hello,

This patch should remove the font problems the GTK+ client currently has.
I tested it with the following locales:

ja_JP.eucJP
hu_HU.ISO-8859-2
ru_RU.KOI8-R

The fonts seem to be displayed correctly now (I don't know how to read any
of the languages above).

If anyone is able to test this with:

de_DE.ISO-8859-15

I would appreciate it. SuSE users have had problems with fonts. This patch
should fix those.
