Oh, yes, I remember, and you are right: this reveals something of the
other player's tactic, what may be shouldn't be.

The message we are talking about here (obsolescence of wonders) reveals
nothing, at least if you have an embassy with the researcher. And it
is a fact, like the fact that the wonder exists at all, which is also
broadcast.
