Is there an alternative to autoconf? Everyone hates it, but I see no
replacement on the horizon.

Please don't. With autoconf 2.52, all my annoying problems with compiling
disappear. With 2.13 I get a lot of problems. And sooner or later we have
to make the transition to 2.52 anyway. All the major distros have both.

We don't want a rerun of my emails about SDL problems. I can't explain why
2.52 works and 2.13 doesn't for me.

Aloha,

The only thing you have to fear.
