Hi,

IMO it would be good to find a more gui-independent structure. Too
often we focus entirely on GTK, and forget that it'll take just as much
work to provide features to each of the other GUI's. Making common code
(in client/mapview_common.[ch]) might help here.

I consider it fairly GUI independent already. The only changes in client/gui-gtk/* are for actually drawing the borders (a straightforward extension to the tile drawing code already there) and one extra menu option (which will obviously require fairly gui specific code). There is also a slight modification to the player dialog, but that's just eye-candy really. All of the real, functional, code is already in client/* or the server.

In this screenshot: ftp://ftp.freeciv.org/freeciv/incoming/borders.jpg,
why does Thon Buri not control the water space adjacent to it?
I dunno. It's almost certianly a bug, but as I said, I've only tested the

isometric view. I will investigate later.

Stewart.
