Well, they are not completely analogous: diff_ignore is used
recursively, whereas .cvsignore only applies to each directory.
(Which has some benefits, eg, can cvsignore *.sav in toplevel
directory without ignoring *.sav in data/scenario directory.)

Which brings me to a question regarding the patch: should *.pox
really be added to the toplevel .cvsignore, or would po/.cvsignore
be the right place?
