progress on the ctp modpack is progressing slowly but steadily. Most of the
ruleset work and some of the graphics have been done.
In the course of this week i'll submit a patch that allows you to limit the
unit-stacks to a desired value as a server option. Probably next week a
patch will follow that enables stacked (CTP-like) combat, also as a server
option. I noticed there were people interested in more interesting tactics,
and these patches will increase the amount of tactics considerably, for
those who are interested.
Then follows the more complex work of changing the ruleset interpreter to
deal with the CTP rulesets. To those familiar with CTP, it will come as no
surprise that not all features could be implemented directly. i'll take the
trouble to look beyond CTP though, and try to make rulesets considerably
more powerful (and keep backwards compatibility) so lots of unexplored
game-possibilities will become available to creative non-coders.
