That's very odd.  I remember from my Amiga days that the %2$d style of
argument reordering was used in Amiga programs localised with
locale.library.  I'm pretty sure that the Printf()-oid functions in
dos.library do what you want, though they might need some help from
locale.library.  If my RKRMs weren't in the attic I would go and look
it up for you...
