some ideas/suggestions/whatever have come to my mind..

-pictures and some information about countries history and their leaders
shown at selection.  it'd be nice to know what i'm fighting for. i think
this
    would bring more depth to this great game and possibly in the future
you would also learn why some ai's are aggressive and some just want to
    be conquered..

-ability to use custom nations and upload their info on server when game
starts.

-goto should tell if for example explorer doesn't know the way to island
across. now it just passes turn to next unit

-goto should not know unexplored areas. for example when i tell explorer
goto to go to land i see over the sea it starts to go there if it's
possible. and now i know it's on the same island.. and it's just not
logical ;)

-timeout isn't always quite working. my turns sometimes ends when it
says 50secs should be left. this is when i have a LOT of cities and game
gets really slow. maybe new turn should start only after all players
clients are ready to actually start a new turn? something at start of
turn takes a long time when game gets big.

-it would be nice to know who is setting server settings. like ' fred
just set huts to 500 and started the game'.

-different kind of messages could use diffent color on dialog-panel?
would be easier to spot important messages.

-a clock in client showing same time to all. (freeciv-time?). so people
could more easily talk about what
time is it and when to start a game. and after the game has started this
could tell how long you have been
playing so that you would kill your enemy nations faster and get some
sleep eventually. =)
