Regarding recent discussions of history, sorry if I am a little late:

Why do people not realise that in any case history is subjective? History is
written by the victors, which gives some ammunition to the holocaust deniers
(usual term here at least). However, the primary evidence (anyone remember
schooltime history) is vastly in favour of their having been death camps et
al.

But history is written by people, and people write what they like. History
is fiction with a little evidence that tries to say it isn't. The only
people who will ever know what actually happened *anywhere* (not just
holocaust et al) are those who were there, and there is still mistakes and
subjectivity.

History is opinions. It is never true or false, right or wrong. Live with it
