I recently played a game with a few friends and I asked another to join.
He joined as teoderic. I don't think you should be able to join as the
barbarians in any situation, they can see the whole map and can pass
information on.

Also is the barbarians supposed to be that stupid? it just suicides its
leader.... even on hard (which you have to set). It also can't manage
cities well, I think this is intended yes? I remember that is what it was
like for civ 1.

Also the barbarians are veterens.... maybe i just got a special case...
but none the less... very annoying... I was throwing 2 alpine troopers a
turn at it... it wouldn't die...

And one minorish problem, it seems alittle strange that the barbarians
rocks up in a caravel and starts unloading marines.Shouldn't that be a
transport?

And what exactly specifies the amount of tech that the barbarians have?
time? if two nations have it?
