Hi there!

I am new on the list so i don't know if anybody here propose sth similar:

idea/suggestion
possibility of alliance

description
humans should can become allies. 
1) They couldn't attack their allies (it will prevent stupid mistakes
when you are allies informally now). Some dialog box shoul appear with
question ,, a re you sure to break alliance?'' or sth.
2) After defeating all other opponents it should be dialog box : you can
stop game now, or break alliance and fight
3) An ally unit can enter ally city (and help in defending). (similar
dialog box - attack, enter, abort). It can also become supported by ally
city. 
4) after breaing alliance all units in cities should automatically attack
that city, (but without the effect of city walls etc) and if defeated 
withdraw outside the city, if there is no possibility of withdrawal they
shoul dissapear (unit destroyed during escape)
5) maybe in republic and democracy senat should accept alliance and
breaking of alliance.
6) maybe effect in happiness when breaking alliance? Nobody likes to find
himself a traitor...
7) when attacking an ally' enemy, senat should break or alliance or
approve war.
8) if two your allies start the war, you should break alliance with one or
both of them

realistic aspect:
in real world there are allies. Ally units are supported by allies
sometimes. Second thing, players become allies informally, so why not
get it formalized with adding new possibilities to diplomacy?
