Sounds ok for me.  However,  I'd rather add the #ifdef -#else-#endif
sequence myself because I'll have to change a few things (ie: useing
EndpointRef ref insted of int sock).  I'm monitoring freeciv-dev and
freeciv-cvs, so I can get to work when that replacement code is used.
