Here's a patch which improves (IMO) the layout of the Demographics Report.
It also adds two new items to the report: Population and Land Area.
Population was easy.  Land Area was not so easy.  My current algorithm
computes only the "settled"/"controlled" area.  I have another in mind
which would include area that has been "explored".  Preferences?
