[Freeciv-Dev] GTK+ client to big problem

Hi Freecivers!

I too have the problem with the GTK+ client being to big for my 800x600
size display. 
This I consider a major bug since a lot of ppl have this size and even
less.

I work it around with deataching the minimap display and having that on
another desk tho that soloution is on 50% like very anoying.

Could we make that minimap not scale as it does now but be in a fixed
size and if there are space one could make it larger or it could do it
by itself?

Also the chat window could that be smaller to by default .. 

Hope this problem can be solved soon.
