[Freeciv-Dev] freeciv 1.8 segfault

I did this:
while true; do data -r | nc localhost 5555; done



and this is what the server thought of it:

1: connection from localhost detected as old byte order
0: lost connection to unknown
1: connection from localhost detected as old byte order
0: lost connection to unknown
1: connection from localhost detected as old byte order
1: lost connection to server
Segmentation fault

I have egcs, x86 linux, rh5,...
