Hi all,

Freeciv cvs is currently a bit transitional.  
If starting the client gives an error like:

> 0: Failed reading XPM file: ./data/default/tiles.xpm
> 0: The environment variable FREECIV_DATADIR is './data'
> 0: Check if you got read permissions to the file

then start the client with, eg, "./civ -tiles ."
