[Freeciv-Dev] Idea: Notification of old version

Dear Freeciv people,

When the server starts, it sends a packet to the metaserver.
Would it be possible for the metaserver to send a packet back
with the most recent released version?

If so, we could make the server say "You're using version x.
Please upgrade to version y, at http://www.freeciv.org";

Then we'd see less older versions on the metaserver page... :-)

Does this interest any coders out there?
