If we go for the standard, DOS-imposed three-letter extension, then I
suggest either '.fcs' ("FreeCiv Save", +descriptive and +true but -not
immediately understandable) or '.civ' (+pronounciation-compatible with .sav,
+sight-understandable, -not FreeCiv specific.).

If we don't, I suggest ".freeciv".
