I am working on two new scenarios. One, "Quest for Fire", is an attempt to
go back to before the usual starting point. You start with naked apes,
gain the use of tools, and eventually develop the usual Settlers if you
survive the "prehuman" era.

The other, "Proxima Centauri", represents the arrival on a new world after
the space race. Pretty much all the techs needed for the space race are
bundled into one tech called "Basic Industry" that represents an
industrial base such as has been left behind on the home planet. It is
possible that tooling up to such an industrial base may not be desired by
all colonists, so techs have been provided which may make it possible to
survive in a more "primitive" (and possibly less polluting) way in closer
harmony with the planet and its lifeforms.

Because the server has those flags for making triremes sink at sea, I also
assumed there is "something" out there in the oceans of the new planet
that is inimical to big technological naval vessels of the kind used on
the homeworld. Upon realising this (by means of "Planetary Ecology" tech)
civilisations can either cooperate with it by using sailing ships or learn
to combat whatever is out there (by means of "Aquatic Ecology" and "Ocean
Survival" tech and/or by building the "Beacon" wonder).
