This is fixed in mainline CVS.

Indeed.


One trick I've noticed: AI doesn't demand reciprocity on vision and
embassies.  So I often do Peace Treaty, AI gives embassy; and it's
always accepted.  Then I just reject the AI's offer to set up an embassy
with me.  Ditto with vision (Alliance, AI gives vision).  This should be
fixed.
