[aclug-L] [announce] Aclug Meeting: Monday Oct 11: Open Source on Windows

This month's Aclug meeting will be a presentation on Open Source apps that have
been ported to the MS Windows platform.

A number of popular apps for Linux also have a Windows version.  These apps
include apache, mysql, postgresql, open-office, gimp and emacs.  There's also
Cygwin, which brings a subset of the Linux command shell environment to Windows.

Open Source on Windows can be a way for Windows users to experience the value of
Open Source before making the jump to Linux.
