fyi: i have the Logitech Cordless Freedom Navigator on one of my machines and
the Logitech MX Duo (optical) on another and both work wonderfully w/o a
hitch ... only config i had to do was to make sure X was using the IMPS/2
protocol for the mouse ... everything else worked like a charm! :)
both are pretty (imho) reasonably priced and the MX Duo's receiver doubles as
a charger for the mouse (very handy!) ... had no problems with skipping
(except when batteries are low) and one of them is for my htpc, which sits a
good 5-6 feet away from the keyb/mouse on my coffeetable
