Yes, but then I read a long piece in Wired ("Why the Future Doesn't Need
Us," http://www.wired.com/wired/archive/8.04/joy.html, April, 2000)
written by BSD/Sun guru Bill Joy. Apparently, he's taken to heart what
Ted Kaczynski (Unabomber) said in his ultra-Luddite "Unabomber
Manifesto." Super ironically, he was turned onto it by Ray Kurzweil,
another huge guru.

I guess I'd hate to do all that work to become a guru and wind up
suddenly crashing through a Saul-to-Paul portal into Ludditism. That's
why I took the short-cut. I'm a card-carrying Luddite!
