FWIW, the upgrade from KDE1.x to KDE2.x is a _major_ upgrade. I'd be 
surprised if a simple rpm or two would get it. I think it's worth upgrading 
to a distro that includes the entire package to get around the dependancy 
issue. You'll save yourself some major headaches.
