Folks,
Just out of curiosity:
(Thinkpad 755c, Microsolutions Backpack cdrom, RH6.1)
#1.) When you make a floppy using dd, what fs do you
use to mount it?or is that even possible?
#2.) Installing RH6.1 using (trying to) the pcmcia image,
the VERY first thing it asks for is the "driver"
disk; where might one find such a thing? Does it
want a disk from the peripheral's manufacturer, or
something copied from the install cd, like the image
was?
#3.) A driver required for using a backpack cdrom is named
"pcd". Is that what it's looking for? On the other
terminal I've watched this driver loaded (along with
many others) but then I get "Autoprobe failed." Is
there a secret to installing onto a thinkpad using
this type of cd?
