[aclug-L] attacked again

I cannot get my linux box to boot up again.  I was on the web using 
netscape,and useing my personal account--NOT ROOT and the computer locked up.  
I hit ctrl alt backspace and the screen popped up and thousans of lines of crap 
was blurring across the screen.  How the hell is some one getting in my box and 
through the phone modem to boot.
