[aclug-L] re compusa and linux applications

I have been down to the compusa on rock road for at least an hour walking the
shelves, and there is not any linux stuff, other than operating systems and
word perfect.    I need a small foot print application which will read doc
files.  Or even rtf files.  In fact nobody there understands linux!
