Might be interesting... there's also software called Squishdot that emulates
the slashdot software and is (supposedly) faster, more effecient, and less
buggy.  That's what the ACLUG web site uses.  Perhaps someone with
experience using squishdot could work with you to present on both software
packages, and make comparisons between the two?
