Well, you could check the Linux Documentation Project at
http://metalab.unc.edu/ldp/ . I pulled all of the notes that I used to
configure my system out of Linux Complete, which is basically a printed and
bound edition of some how-tos. Might be easier to just ask the list, though,
after answering some questions:
1) What distribution?
2) How many machines?
3) Has it ever worked before? If so, what got changed?
4) Does either device show a link light?
