I'm trying to get ppp to work on an old laptop. I installed an old copy of
Caldera 1.1 (2.0.29?), mainly because no other Linuxes could even boot the boot
disk or see the hard drive. Anyway, I'm putting together a login string
(roughly following an old ppp howto) which uses "/dev/modem". Does anyone know
how to link my pcmcia card to /dev/modem? My pcmcia manager works fine for my
pcimcia nic (I installed over it using the NFS install option). I'll eventually
want to know how to upgrade my kernel and C libraries, too. All help
appreciated....
