I don't recall anyone saying it's a bad idea.  I think it is true that no
one in our group probably has enough knowledge of the subject to effectively
educate the rest of us.  I also don't know how much interest there is in
investing in Linux.  I know I'm not interested.  I for one have very little
money.  I for two dn't agree with the business philosophies of most Linux
businesses, as their philosophies and pratcices, in my opinion, hurt rather
than help Linux and the opensource movement.

Lastly... I don't think ACLUG did anything to prevent you from investing in
corel.  You're free to invest however you want to.
