From the October 4 issue of InfoWorld on the page that reports recently
found bugs:

Windows (9x and NT):
        Internet Explorer 5 allows web sites to read any files on the
browser computer. A M$ spokesman said hackers can't steal the information,
they can only read it. A second bug that week in IE5 says the HTML engine
can corrupt certain tags in HTML documents.
