Hi!

I have a friend that runs Windows as the mail server
for his lan and was wondering if there is a Linux
alternative that could replace the use of Windoze.
What it needs to be able to do:

Dial up a PPP link on demand and be able to share it
with several users (already know how to do this with
Diald and IP Masq.)

Send and recieve Mail (but store it locally so it can
send when network activity is low, and so that they
can check their e-mail without having to wait for it
to dail up)

For the mail would a combination of FetchMail and
sendmail work? Or maybe just sendmail?

I don't run this lan, but I'm just curious of the
capabilities of Linux for situation like this.

Thanks!
