Yes, it is possible.

Two keys:

1) Use dpkg --get-selections "*" > filename on the first machine.  Then,
   use dpkg --set-selections < filename on each additional machine.

2) Devise a mechanism to carry around the default config files that
you would like to use.  tar, perhaps.
