ok, recently we have had a problem w/ people spoofing e-mails by
changing their preferences in outlook. i am one of the people who helps
maintain the network here at my college, and since i am kind of the *nix
person, i was curious if there is any way i can do something about that
w/ grep and some shell script. you see, somewhere (im not sure when /
where) the text "may be forged" is in the headers of the e-mails sent
like this. i'm not sure if this is done when outlook97 sends, or when
my netscape receives the e-mail, or somewhere in between. what i am
thinking, is if it is appended to the header before it reaches frodo
(our incoming e-mail server), if there is a way to grep all incoming
e-mails for that phrase, then send them to /dev/null if it contains
that. is this a practical way to do this, or is it even possible? i
would like to help them out, but as my knowledge of unix mail stuff
isn't the greatest, i'm asking this list for any ideas...

ANYTHING is better than nothing! : ^ )
