It's my understanding that windows 95 doesn't *really* have longer file
names than DOS. It just stores the longer file name (up to 255 char) within
the file somehow, and the OS displays the long name. That's probably why
viewing win95 files in other OSes usually shows the xxxxxx~1.ext name if
viewed without some sort of translation utility.
